    1.org looks like a privacy nightmare:

    We and our 1008 partners store and access personal data, like browsing data or unique identifiers, on your device.

    Ok, how does 1.org actually work? Is it like Ecosia where you have to click on ads (and maybe even buy stuff on advertised sites) to actually contribute? Ecosia has this info buried somewhere on their site but I could not find anything here (could not be bothered to watch the YT video).
