James Gunn makes the same movie every single time. I have liked his movies but I just don’t care to watch them a 2nd time. I even liked the Superman movie. Gunn’s crew is pretty good at casting the right actor and pairing them with the right music. I am sure this movie will hit all the right beats; however, it is the same beats that he has been making for 30 years. We will get slow-mo walk, classic rock song, joke about a character being a moron, and crying about parents. But alas I will go just to see Mamoa be Lobo.
James Gunn isn’t directing this.
I know but he is the head of DC studios and he has creative control. I hope having a different writer and director will change it up but I am not confidant.

I saw the trailer for this in the movies, and I’m not sure what to think.
Based on the trailer, I feel like I am not the target demographic for this movie.
