    Man, it still blows my mind that there is a vehicle that we (humans) built and fired into the sky from a moving rock to another moving rock hundreds of thousands of miles away. It purposefully crash landed on this rock, and now we tell it to take pictures and it sends those pictures back to us! It plays in the sand and tell us what it finds in the sand and then drives somewhere else and does the same thing!

    That’s amazing.

      its equally crazy to me that on earth, a desert is still crawling with bacteria, insects, small animals, and yet on Mars there’s just… nothing

      Mars is currently 233.4 million miles (3.757×108 km (kilometers)

      One way light time is close to 21 minutes)
