Those children, however, are American citizens under the 14th Amendment.
These children, however, are U.S. citizens, regardless of their parents’ immigration status. The 14th Amendment states that “all persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.”
When asked again if these children would be deported along with their families, Ramaswamy doubled down.
“That is correct,” he said.
What a monster. This is the modern republican party. To top it off, Ramaswamy’s parents are immigrants themselves, which makes his saying this even more disgusting.
The entire point of this guy is to make the next craziest candidate seem normal.
This guy seems like a caricature of callous conservatism.
