Hello everyone.

The wiki only lists USB modems https://wiki.soprani.ca/eSIM Adapter for configuration, which implies a PC + USB Modem setup, but we are now in the era of single-board computers and there are boards with 4G modules running OpenWRT.

Does anyone have any experience setting these up and using them?

I don’t think anyone has tried that, but there’s a good chance the modem instructions on the wiki may work with an on-board modem.

Thank you very much for your reply. I’ve ordered the device and am waiting for it to arrive. Once it’s here, I’ll have a go with it and post an update here; hopefully we can work together to write a guide for the wiki.

Just to let you know that the USB modem with the Quectel EC25-G 4G LTE chip (blob-free) is one of the best options if anyone is planning to use a USB modem + PC combination.
