The only alarm would be from the US not being able to interfere in their elections
And the Israeli’s who do this shit for every god damn election in every democracy
defines foreign interference as “illicit financing, propaganda, the systematic dissemination of misinformation, digital manipulation, and the intervention of foreign governments or agencies”.
How can you possibly avoid all of that?

The intention might be more as a deterrent than anything.
But it’s hard to say.
“Buy our politicians and we will remove them from office”.
