Still seems like the judge was acting outside of legal precedent, which isn’t something you want.

I doubt in a case this high-profile the judge is doing anything other than hard and strict by the book and letter or the law.

The Defense requested a seal on whatever and the judge (likely out of an abundance of caution) granted the request for the time. If the prosecution truly had a problem with it they would have piped up or done some interlocutory motion or something to remedy that. Dont you think the prosecutor wants to nail their defendant, Luigi; have a little faith in the adversarial legal process. Its dialectical, just like Lemmy. And say what you will about it but its not exactly unknown for fucking over its forced/non-discretionary and unfortunate–lets call them “participants”…

Lastly, His atty, Karen Friedman Agnifilo, is a consummate pro, she’s both a prosecutors prosecutor and a defense attys defense atty, anything she does or asks for is as good as gold in my opinion. She knew all the holes and weaknesses whe she evaluated and tried her own cases when she was back at SDNY as a career prosecutor and she brings all that experience in facing her old employer with Luigi’s case here today.

She already got the death penalty off the table and a bunch of shit from his backpack excluded (unfortunately not the gun or the notebook/manifesto) so I think we should defer to her legal judgement

If anyone can score Luigi that sweet-sweet jury nullification, its this woman. The two sweetest words in the english language are “Not Guilty” and I genuinely believe she can deliver that

Article seems to show that the sealed hearing was on very short notice, and the judge didn’t allow for objections, which are required to be allowed.

Im just saying this is an insanely high profile trial. I guess we’ll see but I doubt the judge is doing anything untoward (technically or legally speaking)

oh didn’t you know? “speedy” only means “for the state to get what they want.” not for plebs like us.

The defense likely waived it (highly regular for murder trials)
