Settlement cuts swipe fees for five years
The U.S. needs real consumer protection rather than settlements that act as temporary band-aids.
None of this is about consumers. It’s all about divvying up the gouge among businesses.
Ultimately costs still get passed onto consumers, so regulating the predatory pricing practices of as many vultures as possible helps.
Costs do, savings do not. It’s disingenuous to say that lower costs save customers money. While technically true, consumers always pay and owners always take a fat skim.
I can’t access that domain due to Datadome blocking. I’m on a residential ISP with no reputation problems from any source. I’m using regular Firefox on Linux.
