This is actually the most unhinged thing he’s ever said as president. He knows it’s his last term and doesn’t care if the ship sinks. Amazing.

it’s not unhinged at all. he’s deeply mortgaged on many real estate holdings. inflation increases the nominal value of those holdings, while the mortgage payment stays fixed. inflation increases cash flow because he can charge higher rents.
he’s stupid enough to accidentally trigger hyperinflation, but creating moderate to high inflation is entirely within his rational self interest. he doesn’t give a shit what it does to anyone else.
He knows he’s never leaving office is what he knows. His supporters don’t care.
When Democrats talk about Trump, they talk about his immigration policy and his criminal past as a scam artist.
When Trump talks to his base, he tells them he’s going to do trade so well that Americans will be able to regain manufacturing jobs.
