Not sure how many people visit this community but I was testing some other apps and found some apps use swipe right gesture to go back.
How this will play out in Summit is I would change how posts are shown. When a post is tapped, it will slide in from the right edge and disable the left and right panes. The user can then swipe left to right to “pop” the post screen off and return back to the feed.
This seems like a decent feature but I’m also not sure what people’s general opinions are with adding even more gestures to the app. Would love to hear some feedback about this.
I think that’s a good idea, however I think the right to left slide should still be enabled to show the community info the post is from. That way someone can easily subscribe to that community if they enjoy the post.
That is an interesting idea, but one that would be difficult to code since it would require the panes to interact with the swipe on back behavior. I’m up for a challenge though so I might implement it :D
I would like to keep the right swipe on the main page of the application as it is. But if we’re in a post, I want the right pull to make it go back. I would like to provide the left pull, up vote, down vote and save functions on a comment.
