I love this tower, I went to it and its attached art museum in 2018. I just kind of happened to be driving by, saw it, and couldn’t pass it by without checking it out!

TIL what’s on one of the glasses I acquired while in Germany. I had no clue this thing was real let alone a beer garden.

Hundertwasser designed a whole tour through the brewery, which also includes a ticket to go up the tower. They also have a replica of Leonardo DaVinci’s last supper in the basement and an art house adjacent to the brewery. It’s a pretty fun combination IMO if you don’t take it too seriously and do not expect to see every detail of the brewery. There are better places for this, but most of these breweries aren’t operational anymore so there are no hygiene issues.

Cool! The interesting exterior always makes me think the interior would have cool vibes as well.

On the one hand I love that Hundertwasser was all about giving nature back the space taken up by the building by including little elevated gardens all over. On the other hand I know the destruction that ivy reeks on buildings and can’t think of a way that this doesn’t happen with those plants there, as some of the buildings including this tower even grow trees up there.
