I keep trying to see how “cum” can translate to “with” in Latin… but I can’t. Maybe his son-in-law was with his lover?
“Cum” in English can be used as “also” or “combined with”.
It’s pronounced “coom” in this usage, which I realize doesn’t make it any better.
