Poor Payne they didn’t have to do him like that, he’s a decent player

He’s no marquee player, don’t think he has much on defense but guy can shoot the 3 and do ok offensively with 5apg off the bench, plenty of contenders would pick him up for a run. I seem to remember him as a guy who played up a level than where your expect from a bench player.

Fully expect it’s because he doesn’t want a slow rebuild or doesn’t like the role he’d be offered there. Waive likely SAS courtesy.
