The next release of the Cinnamon desktop and Linux Mint is finally ready for Wayland - with it no longer considered to be experimental.

      Thanks, I knew about the road map but was still like “did they release an update early?!” Looking forward to Wayland, can finally utilize HDR on my new OLED monitor.

    I have a habit of just YOLOing it with experimental things, think I’m already running Wayland and haven’t had issues. Looking forward to this!

    Fond memories of using the Cinnamon desktop before moving to GNOME, and eventually settling on Niri + DMS. It’s great to see that Cinnamon is still actively evolving.

    I should probably take a look at that extension I wrote, see how it’s holding up, and maybe bring it up to date with the latest release.
