This heat is stored and later used to make steam, which powers a turbine after sunset.
I don’t know why that strikes me as funny. Most energy articles are about how we have found a new way to boil a pot of water.
In this case the focus is really on how we store the energy generated by the sun better…

Yup that is pretty much every article about energy that I set mine eyes upon these days. Replace keywords with fusion, hydrogen, perpetual motion machine … all about stationary paddle boats.
I guess it stems from me not knowing or understanding why we stopped that part of energy development at “boil water; turn paddle”. Seems like the stuff before that gets lots of attention but “boil water; turn paddle” could, I don’t know, use an upgrade of some sort.
