President Donald Trump demanded that Immigration and Customs Enforcement continue carrying out traffic stops, despite earlier reports that the administration had called a halt to them.
The news came after the second ICE-involved shooting in a week, where a 26-year-old man was fatally shot in Biddeford, Maine.
“The men and women of ICE are doing a GREAT job, one that has to be done. CRIME IS WAY DOWN IN AMERICA, in many cases with numbers that haven’t been seen in decades. The Open Border Policy of Sleepy Joe Biden allowed 25,000,000 people to pour into our Country, unchecked and unvetted.”

Sources told the Associate Press on Tuesday that the administration had ordered a suspension to traffic stops, but cautioned that it was not absolute, and there was room for exceptions when executing a criminal warrant or working with partner agencies.
The announcement came as hundreds of people poured into the streets to protest the fatal shooting of Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero, a 26-year-old Colombian national.
