There’s a nonprofit that wants to do several meetings for lectures for about 3000 students. The presenter will show screen or share a document for the most part. At the end students would raise hand and have some discussion, so they will be just viewers for most of meeting

Of course, big corps like teams and google meeting won’t Handel this much, not for free at least.

Could I suggest jitsi to them? Can it Handel this much? How much is it going to cost?

    You need real infrastructure to serve video to so many people. An unlisted YouTube/Twitch live stream is the only real free option, it’s not totally private, but you can give out the link

    Otherwise it’s the paid enterprise stuff from Zoom and co

      Thanks, vdo sounds great, I will use it for sure but it can’t Handel such large number of guests per their site. It’s only 30

        So you use it to bring in multiple presenters, not all 3000 students. You would setup a room and pull students in one at a time for them to collaborate. Then OBS is the final “look” and streamer out to youtube.
