Better headline: “Cop murders Madison man”
Or if you want to play it safe: “Cop shoots Madison man dead”
That way it doesn’t assume the level of crime,but also doesn’t imply that him dying was a separate and possibly coincidental event rather than the direct result of the cop shooting him.
Agreed, but I was linking an article so I just used theirs per the sidebar.

“Wont to do” is a very old way of saying “known for doing”.
It’s absolutely true that US cops are known for killing unarmed civilians who pose no threat to them or anyone else.
If you’re confused by their use of “wont”, read a fucking book. Or just the dictionary.
