It feels every year the summers are getting hotter and hotter. Even at night it’s warm and muggy.
I just go from air conditioning to air conditioning like a vampire afraid of the sun.
The place i rent has what seems to be no insulation above the ceiling and no access panel up there. If you put your hand on the ceiling it is extremely warm, the AC unit designed for more than the whole house (split into a duplex so we should have 2+ times the coverage) only has to cool half the house as we both have the same unit and it can’t keep up. It will get 10 degrees warmer than the AC is set to daily right now.
Just put in a work order earlier because the temperature difference is so drastic the flexing of the ceiling/walls is making the paint start to separate from the ceiling places.
The wall flex and you can see all the light switches bow outward during the heat, and close back up during winter. (Also a huge sign of no insulation, in winter the snow is long gone from our roof before anyone else on the block.
Kitchen Cabinets if you open them are 10-15 degrees hotter than the room temperature.
I’m very ready for summer to go away
