I’m not sure how much I like it as a poem, per se, but it is a lot of very good advice.
I’m not sure it is a poem entirely either, but I like it. The others I posted are definitely poems.
Oh, it’s a poem, the definition lies largely in the intention.
However, it’s not enjoyable as a poem. It is good advice though! As noted. Just lacking in any musicality or sense of lyrical I/thou relations or story or even the irony of prophet soapboxing.
Very good advice. His other poems are much more poetic at least.

I was reading a police report about a person with concealed carry who had to kill a pit bull who was attacking a child the other day, and I was thinking that I live where I’ve never seen a gun that wasn’t on a cop or belonging to a hunter, and how bizarre it would be for me to need one.
