    I want everyone to remember all this when these companies inevitably come begging back to consumers after the burst.

      To what end? It’s not like we have any choice in where the components in our devices come from. And for a lot of devices, you’d probably never know unless you completely tore then down and inspected them directly.

      The stupid thing is this is stock prices. The bubble everyone wants to pop is the actual company finances, their actual balance sheet. Stock price basically affects nothing for the company unless they release more shares or something. They don’t get the money when others trade the shares. Nvidia or OpenAI aren’t looking at company share prices when they buy every speck of RAM and Microsoft doesn’t care about stock prices when they cram it into another product. Not unless it collapses deep enough and long enough for literally every company.

        Right… But Hynix and Samsung have sold both physical products and potential products at an increased price to the AI companies. Micron doesn’t even plan to sell to consumers now. My point being that when the demand goes away and memory manufacturers need buyers they’ll turn back to including regular consumers.
