The Mandalorian & Grogu – 9/10

At 2 hours and 12 minutes, The Mandalorian & Grogu was an absolute blast from start to finish. I’ll admit I’m a bit of a Mandalorian fan, so take my rating with that in mind, but this movie delivered everything I was hoping for.

The action is exciting, the space battles are spectacular, and the visuals are excellent throughout. The runtime feels just right, long enough to tell a complete story without feeling rushed, though I still wanted more by the end. The cast does a great job, and the film is simply a fun, entertaining experience.

The ending leaves plenty of room for a sequel, and I’d happily watch another installment. I highly recommend it, especially for Star Wars fans. Even if you haven’t watched The Mandalorian series, I think this film stands well on its own and does a great job introducing its characters and story. I have watched it 3 times already!

I think it’s safe to say you liked it way more than I did. I didn’t dislike it exactly but underwhelming is definitely the word I would use. Certainly after seeing it I understand the criticism of it being basically a few episodes of a show cobbled together. It had a major pacing issue. It really didn’t feel like it had a coherent story.

All that being said it was fun and did have some enjoyable moments. 6/10

I’ve tried. Would prefer to watch a Muppets movie, the characters are more believable.

It’s so obviously and grotesquely a merch grab that I couldn’t get into the “soldier with a dangerous alien baby” movie/media.

Which outside of the Star Wars universe I might have been able to. Star Wars holds onto being enjoyable by being gritty and real, not kiddy and cute. Things like JarJar, Grogu, and Pod racing, have greatly deminished its appeal.

Andor is the best thing Star Wars has done in a long long time ago, in a gallaxy far away…

I’ve went to the movie theater to watch it with my 5yo son. Great for a father & son watch. Although if he hadn’t wanted to watch it, I would have seen it on D+ instead.
