Not that there aren’t sometimes genuine instances of mod abuse, but how is a mod supposed to defend themselves and their reputation without being able to reply to reports on here with their reasoning?
By not including the victim blaming at the very end of their otherwise perfectly fine post.

This is a safe space. If anyone is pleased at the abuse that has been levied towards a thread creator, then it’s victim abuse, regardless of their involvement.

But the body of the article also claims that it isn’t a genocide, and tries to conflate antizionism with antisemitism by saying that people who call it a genocide are one of those things (or both), and that it’s just a way to hate on Jewish people (instead of it clearly being a charge against the Israeli government). I wish that was more helpful in understanding their views, but unfortunately I’ve seen pro-israeli people who try to couch things by mentioning that the killing of Palestinians is bad, but (insert qualifier for why Israel has a right to defend itself, etc). To be clear I’m not saying that qrstuv is doing that as well there, just that it doesn’t really clear things up as much as hoped.
I also want to mention I am not a fan of purity testing, I think it can result in witch hunts and potentially mob sentiment, but there is a point where it’s useful for someone to make their views clear so as not to be misunderstood. qrstuv has been posting what I would personally consider pro-israeli propaganda nytimes articles for quite some time now, without ever adding any of their own additional context that would clearly show they are posting it to point out how ridiculous it is, to mock, etc.

I’m a big fan of Funhole, and I get that this is a very jokey sorta group where serious responses aren’t the norm, but I do think in this instance it’d probably be appropriate for them to be less ambiguous on their stance just to clear the air here.
