After a round of Kirby’s Return to Dreamland on my Steam Deck with my Steam Controller, it was pretty obvious Valve did almost nothing to alleviate the D-pad membrane issue from the OG and OLED Decks, which resulted in multiple inputs by rolling one direction of the D-pad.
I modded my Steam Deck OLED face buttons with the original (Strong) Clicky Kit. Would I be able to do the same with the Deck OLED (Light) Clicky Kit for the Steam Controller’s face buttons, or should I wait until ExtremeRate has a dedicated kit for it?
You linked to the physical buttons and the membranes that pop them back up / close a circuit when they’re pressed down. As was the case with your Steam Deck, ‘clicky buttons’ are going to be a replacement for the actual circuit component.
Looks like it’s going to be a much more complicated piece of kit for ExtremeRate to design:
Since it’s all one piece, it’ll likely end up being a single kit that does the DPad and Face buttons, and maybe even the rest.
