Documents from law enforcement spy centers show the government is warning cops of "extensive and ongoing chatter on social media" about methods to "physically destroy Flock LPR cameras."

Government surveillance centers are monitoring viral anti-Flock Instagram posts, warning local police about upcoming DeFlock events including one scheduled to start next week, and have told cops to “increase patrols around ALPR [automatic license plate readers]” as backlash to Flock grows, according to government intelligence bulletins obtained using public records requests. The documents also warn about devices “that could be used to identify the locations of Flock cameras.”

    if they’ve got the personnel to patrol around the cameras, then they can do the looking themselves. they don’t need the fucking cameras.

    This is situation that deserves to not be spoken of. Keep it quiet and anonymous. Make plans in person with those you trust. And for fucks sake DONT Record it.

      Or better yet, act individually and don’t tell anybody anything at all. Keep it secret even from your closest and most trusted friends/family/partners.

      Because you never know…

      • What if your confidant is well-meaning, but on the dumb/non-conscientious side and blabs about it to the wrong person?

      • What if your confidant has a phone in their pocket that they haven’t turned off, and their always-listening AI assistant reports you to the feds?

      • What if your confidant is dumb enough to repeat your in-person remarks to you over the phone or over the internet?

      • What if your confidant is captured and interrogated by police? Will they be able to withstand the lies, threats, and intimidation the police use on them?

      Unless your plan needs multiple people to accomplish, it’s better to tell nobody and no one, not ever. Even if you do need to involve multiple people, keep it on a need-to-know basis – make sure each person only knows enough to do their part, and keep them in the dark about every aspect of the plan that doesn’t involve them.

      OPSEC, people. OPSEC.

      (And for fuck’s sake – when you’re taking action, leave your phone at home playing a long youtube playlist. Your phone can’t track you if it’s not with you. And, if necessary, the browser/youtube history could be used to support an alibi of “I was at home binging youtube all day.”)
