Coming from the polls on MDC today I can tell D voters registered and living in the 305 just didn’t show up. This is why we can’t have nice things.

People who see enough “real” lose their ability to consume or be influenced by bullshit. You’ll see this in healthcare among experienced staff. People are often their authentic selves, for better or worse, when ill or in pain. More so, with staff members who spend the most time dealing directly with the people.

What happens is healthcare management loses their ability to bullshit or talk sideways to staff to placate them.

I feel like the people as a whole are becoming like that now. (Finally). In response to political spin. The “muzzle velocity” approach to news has accelerated that progression. People are generally done with bullshit and talking sideways from their politicians.

What will happen if democrats try anything less than authenticity, is they will likely cease to exist as a party. The “vote against” momentum is already dying.

I actually think Mamdani has helped accelerate this as well, proving that it’s possible to just do things citizens want by you know, doing them them takes so much air out of bought and paid for career politicians

It’s obviously not all him, but I do think the visibility and his overall authenticity is changing hearts and minds

And he balanced the budget. Republicans do the opposite now when balancing the budget used to be their political war cry. And he did it right away, didn’t take long.

I just wish they’d spend it on something useful like studying whether trickle down economics worked or not. I feel like its been a good couple of weeks since the last time ‘findings’.

but the candidates are chosen in primaries by the bases of the party, how do they manipulate those results? I ask honestly, I’m not American, I don’t know how they do it

They can manipulate the results with fake polls. This was the methodology used for a CNN poll in 2016. The only way they could show Bernie getting beat by Hillary was not polling the 18-49 age demographic. They lied to get the results they wanted .

During the primaries several states that Bernie won awarded more delegates to Hillary, so on paper she won the state. In West Virginia Bernie won every single county, Hillary came in third place, but was awarded the most delegates.

The biggest thing is throwing the party money behind some establishment Dem like Cuomo and to oppose progressive candidates like Mamdani.

Exactly. They’re trying to find a propaganda strategy that works. After having ignored men for decades, they now have to spend the money to figure out how to re-convince men to vote for them because they never thought men were worth the effort. Just like their policies demonstrate.
