Hey watch your language, calling him a cunt implies he has warmth and depth.

Omfg the entire post re-addresses everything we already know, then at the end they lazily tack on a YouTube video with the actual new updates…

Anyone have any summery of the video for those who can’t watch videos right now?

I did not fully watch the video, but skimmed it and it basically doesn’t add any additional info beyond what’s in the article. It seemed to just say the same things with more words.

There has been nothing but silence from Unity, other than a very poor attempt at clarifying details in the plan, ignoring the overwhelming awfulness of the entire thing. There was supposed to be an all-hands meeting at Unity on Thursday, but this was cancelled due to death threats according to widespread reporting. It was later revealed by Polygon that the threats originated from a Unity employee.

Yikes. Internal quarrels are never a good sign

Could also be a false flag: now they don’t have to do the all-hands which would have been disastrous, and they can pin it on their unreasonable critics.

They’re really innovating stupid new ways of being shitty. Makes me glad that I use Godot.

I feel sorry for anyone making a game on unity right now. They might have to rewrite the whole thing

That’s probably not feasible for most, but any developer looking at starting a new project would be foolish to stick with Unity.
