It took me ages and I hated the process but I absolutely love it. It’s very dense. The base fabric was a peice of curtain. The yarns are a mix of what ever I could find. I bought some new and found some 2nd hand or was given them. It took a looooooot of yarn.

I want to make more but I’ll have to invest in a rug gun first 🙃

I lote it! It captures the feel of a mossy, humid mountainside so well.

I also have to say that the room it’s in is incredible. It looks so cozy!

Thank you! I really want my home to feel like you’ve walked into a fairytale so I’ve got plants growing on all the walls and ceilings, natural edged/raw wood details, and artsy things like this moss rug, little mushroom lights, a cloud lamp, and some mountain shelves. All diy!

I have dreams of bracket mushroom shelves as a cat walk from one loft to another and a large flower or mushroom butni haven’t found all the materials I’ll need yet

That’s really nice! But my shuffle-walking butt would trip on it every morning I’m sure!

Woah that’s a fantastic aesthetic! How’d you get the 3d effect? Is it padded or is it just different yarn lengths?

Different yarn textures and different loop lengths. My punch needle is broken so i set the length manually with each loop by pulling it with my fingers 🥲 It took me aaaaaages

Dang, I can see how that would take forever! The final result looks fantastic though!
