“Frack off – if you want to start then do it on your land in your backyard. It takes 18 months to 5 years to be productive, there are no guarantees, and we sell in the world market so does nothing on prices. Just speak for your fossil fuel masters,” said environmental campaigner Dave Lawrence.

For me this is the bit you should always remember. The way our government have sold energy contracts does not benefit us in the slightest. We pay exactly the same for green energy as we do for fossil energy. Instead of subsidising fossil companies we should be creating our own green energy system and selling it at cost.
