The Magnolia Electric Co. (Indie Rock / Folk Rock) is the last album released by Songs: Ohia, one of Jason Molina’s projects, wich later became the band Magnolia Electric Co., retaining the stylistic direction of the album. Every song was recorded live in the studio with a full touring band and musicians from Songs: Ohia’s 2002 album Didn’t It Rain. The album sound draws heavily from the heartland rock and folk rock of the 60s & 70s, as well as Molina’s heavy metal roots.

Dont get fooled by that surreal electric flower worshipping owl. If you are into this kind of music, give it a try :) It’s one of my favourite albums of all time. And listening to the album might help you understand the artwork, maybe, I guess 😅
