He vetoed because he doesn’t feel that executive power should be limited in discretionary powers. He has otherwise been 100% supportive of trans rights. If this alone makes you not support him against Trump et al you deserve Trump et al.

But you’re right, you shouldn’t be against him for this alone. There are a bevy of valid reasons to not support him and you should definitely look into them.
For me its his public opposition to the billionaires tax. A legit solution to many of California’s problems.
This makes me think I should self immolate in a polling station for my 2028 vote.
