The UK will provide defensive military support to Saudi Arabia against attacks retaliation from Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels, the prime minister has confirmed.
Speaking to reporters while travelling to attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Andy Burnham said Saudi Arabia has requested support, “and on the advice of the defence secretary and the foreign secretary, last night I agreed to that request”.
