Mount Evans, the Colorado fourteener in Clear Creek County that was named after the state’s disgraced territorial governor John Evans, now has a new name.

    The name is Mount Blue Sky. Mount Soule for Silas Soule would have been good too. Funnily enough the wilderness around the mountain is still officially called Mount Evans Wilderness.

      Wilderness designation and spatial modification requires an act of Congress, perhaps a name change as well *this is addressed in the article. Congress must change the name.
