I went into Stepmother (แม่เลี้ยง) without big expectations. It’s a 2025 Channel 3 lakorn, 19 episodes long, falling into that familiar family thriller-mystery category. After finishing it, I ended up somewhere in the middle. It’s not bad - especially the beginning and the first half - and the lead actors are genuinely good. But there’s this nagging feeling that sticks with me: if the stepmother had just explained the company’s affairs properly from the start, half the drama (and maybe the whole show) wouldn’t even exist. That leaves a weird aftertaste.
