The United States Postal Service is hiring armed security guards through a multinational private contractor with a history of alleged human rights abuses and price fixing, according to a Raw Story investigation.

USPS has a contract with Prosegur, a multinational security firm, to provide armed guard services, according to public records obtained by Raw Story through a Freedom of Information Act request.

The government redacted the monetary amount of the contract.

Current and former USPS employees detailed alleged abuses by Prosegur-hired security guards and raised questions about supervision and training for armed security officers (ASOs), who are now working at dozens of facilities across the country and clocking thousands of weekly hours.

Researchers also sounded the alarm on Prosegur’s controversial history in Latin America.

“It’s not a great company in Latin America, so I wouldn’t trust it in the U.S. either,” said Mark Ungar, a political science professor with the John Jay School of Criminal Justice in New York.

This looks like they’re setting up to fuck with mail-in ballots.

At the very least they can disappear ballots from Democrat-leaning zip codes. More ambitious would be to coerce USPS workers into signing off on the legitimacy of stuffed ballots, creating a fake paper trail for a Republican victory (or at least a non-defeat) in the midterms through mail-in ballots.

Trump has spent the last decade accusing the Democrats of using mail-in ballots to steal the election. Every accusation is a confession. If anyone knows how to commit mail-in voter fraud, it’ll be the Republicans. With the USPS being a federal agency under the executive, the Trump administration can use it to fuck with elections even in states with too few loyalists in election offices to get away with fraud.

Ever since I predicted there wouldn’t be another fair federal election after 2024, I’ve been waiting for the method they would use. Using a multinational mercenary company to force postal workers to commit election fraud seems like it would work.
