Canonical has changed how Ubuntu 26.10 boots on system with Secure Boot enabled, in an effort to reduce the attack surface of the boot process.

    Title should say “/boot” not “boot”. This radically changes the headline.

    Anyway, I don’t know anyone who uses Secure Boot.

      I suspect a lot more people use secure boot than they realize. On some hardware I’ve come across you can’t turn it off anymore, and my experience these days has been that it’s been seamless to get going.

      I used to be highly reluctant, but honestly, I’d never even know it was running these days
