U.S. to host City, Real Madrid in Club World Cup

The United States will host the Club World Cup in 2025, the first time the FIFA tournament will have 32 teams.

Not a fan of the change in format but still excited for top teams to be visiting the country.

    Interesting that it’s in the summer. I suppose, depending on venues, they may not have wanted to do it in December/February, but it feels weird for it to be outside of the normal European season.

    I quite like the change in format but as ever, far too many slots for European teams. 12 slots means at least 8 European teams (9 if Real or City win CL next season) won’t have actually won anything but qualified anyway.

      Can’t imagine they let some scrubs like Bayern, Liverpool, PSG and Barcelona in. Should rather be 4 teams from Australia.

    Better than going to Quatar/Saudi Arabia for sure, but this new format is nonsense.
