you’re actually describing the Playboy Style which was itself was an innovation upon the 50s smut because instead of just having ladies showing the nice parts they sold you characters, settings, atmosphere, fantasy. The oldschool smut is nothing like that - it is dirty and dingy and quite nasty and no storytelling.
