Lemmy.world disabled photo uploads for a time, so I was told that was probably the reason. But they’ve since turned them back on, and I’m still unable to upload photos when I try to create a post. When I try, it gives me this error:
FormatException: Unexpected character (at character 1)

Have you tried to upload smaller photo? Last time I posted a photo I think I had similar error message to yours and the issue was file size. I guess few hundred kilobytes would be small enough. I’m not from lemmy.world though so it could be different issue.
