Works really well on the steam deck. A few games don’t work well due to the steam deck power. But enough work that’s it’s a worth giving some game a go.

    Super Mario particularly works well

Which one? Mario I mean. Odyssee?

I tried with Luigi’s mansion 3, everything taken from my own switch … but the performance is just not there. Very very low fps which makes the game unplayable :(

Why that one? Well I wanted to try an AA title and I left my cartridges downstairs. To lazy to run 2 floors to get them so 🤷‍♀️ 😏 (As I rule I almost never buy anything digital from Nintendo)

I’ve already completed Odyssee but if it runs very well on the deck like you suggest I might replay.

Did you try TOTK? How good does that run if you compare with the original switch? Guess motion is lost? I do use that so…

Man! If only Nintendo would release their games on other platforms!! We will buy them. And re-buy them. Oh well. Maybe. Someday.

I tried odsyee but it’s framerate was all over the place. Felt like Mario was jumping in slow motion. Tabled that one for now.

What worked was super Mario World. The one with browsers fury. No problems at all.

I am currently playing botw, but the wiiu version as apparently they are identical. cemu is more mature than yuzu so performs better (steady 40fps!). I used a plugin to get motion working g. It basicly makes a virtual Co triller you just add to cemu. I’m hoping by the time I finish botw totk has decent framerate. Super impressed with yuzu developers to have it as good as it is so soon

I was keep to play luigi’s mansion next. Shame it’s performs is so bad. Maybe someone had made some mods to make it play better

Well I do have a bit of good news for you: Last time I tried it, it was better than the first time. The only thing that changed was updates of emudeck and things like that.

Good to know it’s not there (yet). If I had more time I would thinker with it like you said but I have barely time to actually play these days. Guess those endless tweaking days are over for me… or just to many projects 😜

Can you believe I actually have BoTW on the Wii U? And then I bought the switch immediately when that came out to play Botw on that. HD and portable! I never really liked the Wii U. The games are very much the same, although I do not remember much else than frustration. For me the Wii U was a very frustrating console somehow… idk why… guess the whole pad thing … anyway Since I stupidly erased my save game of Botw I was on the brink to restart on the steamdeck but then time fleeeeeew and I just waited for TOTK. Instead of replay I just finally played some other great titles on the deck.

Now. BOTW was great but TOTK is 🤯 just amazingly good. You’ll see!

// I was just somehow hoping I could just do it all with the deck and not having to log both consoles when I travel… Hmm I now realize I hardly ever travel So… Moot point I guess 😅 … // I’ll just let myself out. It’s late over here. We are in the middle of a heatwave and both makes me feel like I’m drunk Sry about that
