Do it Do it Do it
Google should just purge twitter results already
Twitter already broke their internet search results just a couple of months ago:

That’s believed to be why they reversed on the “must log in to read” and rate limiting policies.
They operate hand in glove, that won’t happen until X goes bankrupt and closes it’s doors. Which sadly won’t happen soon enough.
Twitter is a service that actively pushes you toward the exit. Mastodon is a much better alternative.
Get this out of here this isn’t world news
Yes he could charge all users a subscription. But he can also have significantly less then 550m users. At the same time giving the remaining users less motivation to want to fund the service. Also advertisers less reason to use it. Leading to higher subscription costs. Leading to less users.
A bit like the mythic Oozlum bird. As musk spins around in ever decreasing circles. Untill he disappears up his own arsehole.
Hold on…
Hey Elon sounds like a good plan to me.
Lol, please do Elon. Please do.
This is the best idea he’s had so far. I bet that place will actually be tolerable once everyone has left.
No, he’ll still be there.
Do it Musk Rat, strike it down.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
Speaking in a meeting with Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, the Tesla CEO and world’s richest person suggested that X was going to charge its user base.
Currently, Twitter only charges users for its subscription service X Premium, which offers perks such as a verified account checkmark and costs $11 a month in the US for iPhones and £11 in the UK.
Musk, who has a history of making impromptu statements, did not confirm whether X would definitely push ahead with a charging policy.
Musk has raised the prospect of a paywall as the platform battles an entrenched decline in advertising, its main source of income.
Musk has said an advertiser boycott, spurred by concerns over his leadership of the platform and its management of inappropriate or hateful content, has caused ad revenue to decline by 60%.
Netanyahu said he hoped Musk would find ways within the confines of the first amendment to clamp down on antisemitism and other forms of hatred on X.
The original article contains 405 words, the summary contains 165 words. Saved 59%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!
If he did it, but it was completely Ad free and offered better controls of your feed as well as being able to alter the “algorithm” to be less bubble like and idiotic, it might be worth it…
… if it wasn’t for mastodon.
This would be amazing!
