Bluey, the Australian cartoon sensation (seriously, it’s great and you should give it a watch even if you’re not actually five years old), is being turned into a video game that’s coming to Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC on 17th November this year.
Bluey the cartoon follows the adventures of the eponymous Blue Heeler dog, her sister Bingo, mum Chilli, and dad Bandit. All are along for the ride in Bluey: The Videogame, which promises an “interactive sandbox adventure” for up to four players, featuring fully explorable recreations of some of the show’s most recognisable locations.
There’s talk of “story-driven episodic gameplay”, split into four parts, that’ll include activities and mini-games inspired by the cartoon - Keepy Uppy and Magic Xylophone are mentioned - with players able to unlock new costumes, stickers, episodes, and locations as they go.

GotY has arrived
I hope that, just like the series, it’s meant for adults, but kids like it too.
Hooray!
I watch bluey with my 2 years old niece to teach her a foreign language and it’s one of the rare shows along miraculous where she can watch and ep or two before getting bored and deciding to go back to play with her toys instead. ( my sister made sure to not get her addicted to any screen but her husband got the kid slightly addicted to a few youtube songs anyways…🙃).
Bluey is a great show, but it leans to much on the “parents life amarite” side. I miss the old cartoons that were crazy and funny enough to keep kids watching but self aware enough to keep it watchable and enjoyable for the parents too, just like old cartoon network shows. We adults can enjoy some wackiness too.
I mean, what price point are we talking? I’d spend $20 to let my niece mess with it a couple times, but if it approaches a full priced game it’s not happening.
Disc release, so I’m guessing $50.
