I have tinnitus and could never stand CRT whine. But I’d like to get one for classic gaming if there was such a thing as a silent crt.

I don’t think silent is really possible, but PVMs tend to be a lot better about it. I’ve been wanting to pull out my little trinitron 8045Q for some fedi-posting so I’ll listen for it and let you know. I think it’s a lot better than you probably remember consumer CRTs being.
See my newest post about this. That little PVM definitely does have some whine to it, but it’s very little and is easily masked by the game audio. Probably the best you can hope for with this technology tbh.
