The Grand Budapest Hotel
It was my first time watching and it is a great and fun movie.
This is Wes Anderson in top for, it’s a really fun watch!
I watched Jaws for the first time. I’m surprised that movie holds up and a lot of the writing felt very modern.
It’s brilliant. The story on the boat when they’re drinking and comparing scars is so well done. Utterly engaging.
jaws is how I remember port is left and starboard is right
I always remembered that “port” and “left” have four letters so starboard is the other one 😂
I watched The Maltese Falcon (1941) for the first time yesterday. The story is super engaging and Humphrey Bogart absolutely crushes it as Sam Spade.
Excellent movie.
I finally got around to watching They Cloned Tyrone and thought it was pretty fun. Everything about it felt like an early 2000’s movie, in a good way. Jamie Foxx killed it.
And don’t watch the trailers. I checked out the trailer after watching the movie and it straight up spoils the entire movie.
Only movie I watched was Barbie which was pretty good. I can appreciate how the message hits a chord with so many people. As a film though it felt like there were some poor editing choices but overall fun
Well, I only watched one, but it was pretty good.
It’s a fan edit of Revenge of the Sith that aims to improve the narrative around Anakin’s disappointment in and suspicion of the Jedi order, making it a more natural development for him to side with Palpatine. It also has some deleted scenes added in and some other small adjustments.
It’s called Labyrinth of Evil, and there are two versions; one where Padme lives, to fit with Leia’s lines in Jedi, and one where she dies, like the original.
I’ve heard good things about the Labyrinth cut. A few years ago I found a fan-edit of the whole prequel trilogy that aims to do the same thing. It edits the three films together for a runtime of just over three hours, and it’s a glory to behold. Supposedly it was based on Topher Grace’s personal fan edit, but I don’t think he ever released his on the internet.
I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to SW. Can you explain the line that fits with Leia’s lines thing?
In Return of the Jedi (1983), Luke asks Leia if she remembers her mother. She answers that she remembers her a little and that she died when Leia was very young.
In Revenge of the sith, however, Padme dies immediately after childbirth, so Leia couldn’t have had any direct memory of her.

One of my favourite films is the 1965 Flight of the Phoenix. Last night I discovered it was remade in 2004 so I downloaded it.
It was actually fuckin excellent and a brilliant remake. Would recommend it to anyone who loves an adventure
The Banshees of Inisherin. I liked it. It was different, and I am good with that.
Unlocked. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Coherence (2014)
I may be hosting a dinner party for the first time because of the vibes seen here
Dr. Caligari https://letterboxd.com/film/dr-caligari/
I did not know what to expect going in to this one. 10 minutes in I was thinking it would be unbearable. 20 minutes in and I was laughing. It somehow gets weirder and funnier all the way through. And when I say weird, it’s like Eraserhead level weird.
I’m a bit late to the party but just watched Don’t Look Up for the first time. Wow! satire done well. a little too well. I missed a lot of the hype and didn’t think it would be memorable but it’s one of the best movies I’ve seen all year
