Dunno if my save is just borked and I’ll have to revert or what, but I can’t seem to find Barbacoa Wraps (and possibly other damage-reduction foods) in my inventory immediately after crafting it. If it helps, I’m currently on Sarah Morgan’s personal quest. I was a little further along, but I reverted to a prior save when I realized I might be a tad underleveled (and thus woefully undersupplied) for dealing with some of the enemies in this quest. (I just reached level 50). Thus, I’d need damage reduction food to survive the quest, but it’s problematic that it’s not showing up in my Aid tab.

Not a bug, barbacoa’s so good your character just eats it immediately

(sorry I can’t help, I’m here from All and don’t have Starfield)

So from what I’ve been able to determine, the galley in my home ship isn’t working for some reason, BECAUSE THE GALLEY IN THE LODGE BASEMENT CERTAINLY WORKS. WTF

This reminds me of the time I picked up an item, and it disappeared from the world but didn’t get put in my inventory. It just vanished into the ether.

    spoiler

It was on Titan, I believe the item name was “Layered Tee.” I’m always on the lookout for clothing so I tried to check out what it looked like right away, and it was just… not there. I checked all the inventory sections in case it was somehow misfiled, but no luck.

When you craft them, do you get an increase in your carry weight? Probably would need to make a good few to see the number tick up.

So what seems to have been happening is that, after crafting something with the cooking station in a Stroud-Eklund Mess Hall module specifically, it’d eat the required materials and give you nothing like a faulty vending machine.

But replacing that module with several smaller ones helped because other modules’ galleys still work, as do non-ship cooking stations.

Interesting. I wonder if that whole hab is just bugged. I think my current ship actually has a Stroud eklund mess hall, I’ll have to try it when I play next

So, just an update: it seems that the bug seems to pertain to the Stroud-Eklund Mess Hall ship module specifically. I replaced that module with several smaller modules, two of them with galleys, and those cooking stations DO work.

Solved this! So on my ship I had the same problem. However the food was dropping behind the the kitchen. In my specific case, on the other side of the wall so the food was dropping in the hallway…had like 10 barbacoa wraps and some other alien products just chilling on the ground. 5 second rule/ 5 day rule. :)
