I’m interested in getting it installed and am planning to sign a contract soon. I’m trying to decide on one of the local ISPs and was wondering if anyone here could share their experience with theirs.

I still have cable at home, which is miserable but I use Net253 at work and it’s been excellent so far. I don’t think I’ve experienced any downtime yet.

Thank you for your response! That’s helpful. Out of curiosity, do you know what speed your job gets? I heard through the grapevine that KPUD’s infrastructure handles up to 100Gbps, so there seems to be a range of speeds that I might be able to get.

Edit: talked to Net253, according to them KPUD does offer up to 25G, but it’s not a residential offering and it’s roughly $2500/month! Hopefully with the recent happenings around Google Fiber and Ziply that can come down in price eventually.

We’re just getting symmetric gigabit with 2ms latency to Seattle (from Bainbridge Island).

Not exactly a gigabit but it’s a busy morning here. :)

That’s still way better than Comcast! Thanks for the info :)
