I got to say liftoff just mage my scrolling experience much much much better than jarboa. One question is there a benefit to sign in to more than one instance?
Most common use case is for people wanting to keep their NSFW content/subs separate from their main account.
For most users most of the time no. Some people like to have different accounts with different interests or personas, and I’ve seen signs that organisations are experimenting with spinning up Lemmy instances for internal purposes, and I suspect admins and mods may well end up partnering up across instances.
It certainly has potential. Right now I’d rank it as:
- Jerboa
- Liftoff
- Lemming App
- Connect
No love for Thunder?

Once these apps are all done I hope there’s an in depth review done of these from those willing to try them all. I am on jerboa and so far I haven’t had a reason to move off of it as they fixed most of what I was bothered by so I have had no motivation to try any other app.
I like this app too. One of my two favorites. I didn’t use Apollo so I have no built in preconceived notions about good UI in a Lemmy app
I used reddit is fun, I hope to build my own lemmy is fun at some point.
So, all of the current devs of Liftoff are just starting off with flutter. Don’t let that hold you back from contributing.
