It’s been 15 months since I made my last (very large) batch of soap bars. Went back online today looking to purchase soaping oils. Dayum! Some of the oils I use have DOUBLED in price. I was bummed. I can understand an increase, but doubled… . No words here.

What kind of oils do you normally use?
Typically the big three: olive, coconut, and palm. I went out to Amazon to look at the same gallon of palm oil I purchased 15 months ago, and it cost twice as much. Haven’t priced the olive or the coconut yet.
Do you know where your palm oil comes from, and what purchasing it does to the environment?
