Looks like they might be trying to grow their mycelia network, for those that don’t know a mycelia network is like the roots of a tree but for mushrooms. Mycelia networks span almost entire forests, they are key to distributing nutrients and recent studies are showing that some trees communicate to their offspring through it.

I don’t know for certain, not an expert on the subject. This is my best guess.

What would a tree say to their children?

Humidity is high enough the mycelium tried to branch. Reduce the humidity.

Lol, it looks like it’s outside.

If simply “reducing the humidity” of outside was a possibility, living in the south woild be pretty good.

Well if it’s not an indoor grow, leave it alone. Your snark isn’t helpful, but my point is still accurate.

Ohhhh ok, you’re just an asshole who can’t understand a joke, and once you figure it out you then over correct and act like a middle schooler. Gotcha! Have a good one buddy!

Something is wrong with the comments. Guy was being very rude and said something along the lines of showing my mother his penis.

It was rather foggy the few mornings preceding this photo. So I think that’s what caused them to sprout.
