At the moment, I’m reading The Fireman by Joe Hill. He doesn’t consider it horror and honestly, at the stage I’m at in the book, I would have to agree with that assessment, but, it is widely accepted as such.
In the past week I’ve read:
- Haunted Hotel by Lee Mountford
- Horror in the Woods by Lee Mountford
- Voices in the Snow by Darcy Coates
- The Children of Red Peak by Craig DiLouie
- The House of Dust by Noah Broyles
I absolutely love Lee Mountford’s writing; it’s jam-packed with action and there’s no beating around the bush. His books are typically quite short and to the point.
I have to say, though, The Fireman is really good so far. It’s at a point where things are kind of slow so I hope it picks up a bit.
Anyway, enough about me. What are you reading or have recently read?
I’m reading Black House, by Stephen King and Peter Straub just after having finished The talisman, by Stephen King and Peter Straub.
How are they?
Currently reading Dead Sea by Tim Curran. About 25% through and enjoying it so far.
The Deep by Nick Cutter.
I finished this book before the Titan submarine incident and it gave me the same feeling that I had reading.
I’m about to start Junji Ito’s No Longer Human, which is actually an adaptation of a 1948 novel by the same name.
